Offering a great source of probiotics, Greek yoghurt is a key ingredient for promoting gut health. Combined with apple and banana, both high in prebiotics, feeding the gut’s healthy bacteria, and heart & gut-supporting dietary fibre makes this an excellent breakfast or post-training recovery option for boosting gut-health and immune function.
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 250g 0% Greek Yoghurt
- 1 Small Apple
- 2 tsp Honey
- 1 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Banana
- 50g Porridge Oats
- 15g Pumpkin Seeds
- 100ml Water
- 20g Walnuts
- 10g Goji Berries
Method
- Grate an apple into a bowl, then add the porridge oats, crushed walnuts, half of the goji berries, half of the pumpkin seeds, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and mix together.
- Stir in the yoghurt and water, slice the banana and stir in half.
- Spoon half of the mixture into a second bowl, then top both with the rest of the banana, goji berries, pumpkin seeds, 1/2 tsp
cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. - Cover and leave in the fridge overnight to set.
